Biography

Hailing from Italy and now residing in Zurich, Giampiero Colombo has established himself as a celebrated musician within the Swiss country music landscape. He launched his music career in 1978, gaining experience and recognition while touring Europe with several high-profile dance bands. The year 1990 marked a pivotal shift in his musical journey when he embraced his passion for country music by joining Jeff Turner’s Roadshow Band. This transition was followed by a significant tenure with Swiss country legend John Brack, with whom he performed until Brack’s unfortunate passing in 2006.

Giampiero’s extensive collaborations in the country music scene have included performances with well-known Swiss artists such as Daniela Muehleis, Britta T, Marco Gottardi, Rolf Raggenbass, Tony Lewis, Bonnie Jean Taylor, Susan Klee, Monika Miller, and Supercountry, enhancing his reputation and experience. Since February 2009, he has been a fixture in The Silver Dollar Band, backing the esteemed Marco Gottardi. Additionally, he has collaborated with Larissa Baumann for nearly 10 years, further expanding his network and exposure in the music industry.

Beyond his collaborative projects, Giampiero Colombo excels as a solo artist, captivating audiences with a diverse repertoire that includes Country, Blues, Oldies, Rock, and Pop hits. He is available to perform at a wide range of events, such as private gatherings, weddings, anniversaries, and festivals. Giampiero can take the stage alone or alongside other talented musicians, offering flexible performance configurations from a duo to a trio or a full band setup.

As a freelance musician, Giampiero is also open to collaborations, offering his expertise as a guitarist to bands and artists. His rich, inviting voice and proficient guitar playing guarantee a compelling and memorable musical experience at any event.
